Monroe airport worker nabbed for theft

MONROE (AP) — Monroe police have arrested a woman accused of stealing almost $3,000 from Monroe Regional Airport.

The News-Star reported 41-year-old Melvina Conley, of Monroe, was booked into Ouachita Correctional Center Thursday on charges of theft and malfeasance.

According to a warrant, a theft was reported to police on March 18 from the parking booth at the airport.

The report stated five deposits were not made over the course of two weeks in December, the total amount of which was reportedly $2,960.

It was unclear whether Conley has an attorney.
