The Home Builders Association (HBA) of Southwest Louisiana will host its 22nd Annual Home Show this weekend at the Lake Charles
Civic Center.
The show will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13.
“It is a place people can come and speak to the experts for all their building, remodeling, and redecorating needs,” said
Vicki Broussard, HBA executive officer. “I will have people who can give advice and show homebuilders new things.”
From indoors to outdoors, the Home Show will have experts on appliances, doors, faucets, pools and landscaping and more.
There will even be insurance and financing specialists available to discuss options.
Broussard called the home show a “one stop shop.”
“Instead of people driving to different stores they can come to one place and get questions answered,” Broussard said.
This is the second year in a row HBA has held the home show in January rather than March.
SDLqWe found that by having it in January people are still in the thinking process of what they want to do,” she said.
Admission is $5 per person. Children 12 and under get in free when accompanied by an adult. There will be a children’s booth
available with coloring books and face painting. Broussard said the HBA is still accepting applications for vendors. There
will not be food booths this year.
