JENNINGS — A local man has been charged with aggravated assault and obstruction of justice, authorities said Wednesday.

Brock Fontenot, 27, was arrested Tuesday night after deputies responded to a shooting at a home at 16112 La. 26 in Jennings, Chief Criminal Investigator Chris Ivey said.

“Two subjects arrived at the home, and one of them was shot by a resident following an incident,” Ivey said in a news release.

“The subjects fled in their vehicle. The injured man was dropped off at the Jennings American Legion Hospital and treated for multiple gunshot wounds.”

Fontenot, the driver, was detained for questioning and later arrested. He is being held without bond. Additional charges are pending, Ivey said.
