Last Modified: Friday, November 16, 2012 10:50 AM

BATON ROUGE (AP) — The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries says the oyster-harvest season in the Hackberry Bay Public Oyster Seed reservation will close Sunday a half hour after sunset.

The site is in Jefferson and Lafourche parishes.

The small public oyster area provided an estimated 4,700 sacks of oysters since the season opened on Oct. 29, officials said.
