BATON ROUGE (AP) — The Touchdown Express, a Capital Area Transit System service that shuttles LSU football fans from downtown Baton Rouge to Tiger Stadium on game days, will return for a fourth year.
Bob Mirabito, interim CATS CEO, told the Downtown Development District Commission Tuesday the will now cost $10 for a round trip on the bus.
While it cost $4 for a round-trip ride from downtown to the stadium last season, Mirabito said the grant that was subsidizing some of the costs expired, making the fee hike necessary to cover operating costs.
The Advocate reported Mirabito said CATS is determining where the buses will pick up and drop off football fans. LSU opens it home football season Sept. 7 against UAB.
