A 21-year-old Sulphur man has been charged with Sulphur man charged with felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile and sexual battery, authorities said.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said Shane A. Reed, 4314 La. 1256, Lot No. 29, has been accussed of having sexual contact with a 13-year-old girl.

“When questioned by detectives Reed confirmed the allegations,” Myers said.

Judge Michael Canaday set his bond at $175,000.

Detective William Wilcox was lead investigator.
