A 30-year-old Moss Bluff man has been charged with felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile, contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and criminal trespass, authorities said.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said Micah P. Woodward, 1733 N. Michael Square, was arrested Saturday night.

“Deputies observed a 14-year-old boy sitting inside a car at the I-10 beach parking lot with Woodward,” Myers said Tuesday in a news release. “The investigation revealed Woodward was engaging in inappropriate sexual activity with the victim. When questioned by detectives, Woodward said he used a social media site to make contact with the victim and stated he never met the juvenile until this incident.

“Woodward also told detectives that he picked the juvenile up from his home and confirmed he performed oral sex on the juvenile prior to deputies arriving.”

Myers said Woodward was released Monday after posting a $35,500 bond set by Judge David Ritchie.

Cpl. Bradley Guidry and deputy Phil Middleton were the arresting deputies and Detective Steven Rathjen was the lead investigator.””
