A 53-year-old Lake Charles man was sentenced to 24 years in federal prison on Thursday.

Judge Michael Canaday sentenced Lawrence Dicks Jr. after he pleaded guilty on Jan. 29 to three counts of cocaine possession with intent to distribute.

Judge Canaday sentenced Dicks, 200 Goodlawn Road, to 24 years on each count to run concurrent.

Dicks was arrested on June 23, 2011.

Assistant DA Brett Gaspard prosecuted the case.
