St. Louis Catholic is looking for a new head baseball coach after Chad Hebert parted ways with the school after two successful seasons on Monday.

According to St. Louis Athletic Director Jason Oertling, Hebert will pursue a coaching position at a different local high school.

“We thought Chad did a great job with our kids and this program over the past couple years, but he received an opportunity that was beneficial for his family that he couldn’t pass up,” he said. “We wish Chad the best of luck in the future.”

St. Louis is accepting applications for the vacant head coaching position, and Oertling said they are hoping to hire someone soon. All applications are currently welcome.

“We are currently in the process of hiring someone new,” Oertling said. “We have already heard from some great applicants and we are hoping to make a decision by the end of next week.”

The new head coach will take the reigns of one of the state’s most consistently successful baseball programs, which last captured the 4A state championship in 2011.

The Saints will be moving to class 3A in the upcoming school year.

Hebert was 50-20 in his two seasons as the skipper at St. Louis, winning the District 4-4A championship in 2012 and guiding the Saints to consecutive quarterfinal appearances.””
