A former Starks resident has been arrested on suspicion of having sexual contact with a 7-year-old family member on numerous occasions last year, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Kim Myers said Tuesday in a news release.

Clarence E. Sanderson, 74, 406 Gobblers Knob Road, Lufkin, Texas, lived in Starks at the time of the alleged offenses, Myers said.

The Sheriff’s Office received a complaint from the Department of Child and Family Services in September 2012, Myers said. An arrest warrant was issued on Jan. 30 and on Feb. 16 and Sanderson was arrested by the Lufkin City Police Department.
