Four people have been arrested in a weekend driveby shooting at an New Llano apartment complex and for attempting to flee by entering a U.S. Army base, authorities said.

The Vernon Parish Sheriff ’s Office and the New Llano Police Department said
Conrad Patterson, 25, Marcus Holmes Jr., 19, and Alex Taliaferro, 20, all of Fort Polk, and Latesha Boseman, 20, of New Llano have been arrested in the Feb. 1 shooting.

The Vernon Parish 911 emergency service center said they received a called around 5 a.m. Saturday morning that several gunshots had been fired at the complex.

Witnesses at the scene told officers and deputies a latemodel
Cadillac sedan was seen leaving the complex at the time of the incident.

Officers canvassed the area in an attempt to locate the vehicle
and provided a description of the car to the Fort Polk Military Police.

A short time later military police officers located the
vehicle as it attempted to pass through the gates at the base. A firearm was found inside the sedan.

All four suspects were detained by the military police and taken to the Vernon Parish Sheriff ’s Office where they were arrested and booked into the Vernon jail.

All four suspects were charged with assault by driveby shooting, illegal discharge of a firearm, criminal damage
to property, and criminal conspiracy to commit a drive-by shooting.

All four remain in the Vernon jail and no bond amount has been set.

There were no reports of injuries.

This matter is still under investigation by detectives with the Vernon Parish Sheriff ’s Office and there is a possibility the suspects may face additional charges.
