Last Modified: Tuesday, October 02, 2012 10:25 AM

From staff reports

A 20-year-old Moss Bluff man died early Sunday morning after veering off the road and crashing his vehicle, according to a spokesman for the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office.

CPSO received a call at approximately 5:30 a.m. Sunday about a one vehicle accident on Joe Miller Road heading west.

William Cody Moore was pronounced dead at the scene.

Moore apparently left the roadway and hit something, according to CPSO Commander James McGee. The 2001 Mecury Villager was visible from the roadway.

“It appeared he was heading home because he lived near the area,” McGee said.

CPSO will run a full investigation to find out the cause of the accident as well as the estimated speed of the vehicle.
