Moss Bluff man charged with aggravated battery following stabbing

A 27-yea-old Moss Bluff man stabbed an acquaintance in the back after the two fought on Monday morning, authorities said.
Alexander Ballard, 1214 Musser Road, was charged with aggravated battery, said Kim Myers, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman.
The two fought at Ballard’s residence, and the victim’s wound did not appear to be life threatening, Myers said.
Ballard is being held on $150,000 bond at the Calcasieu Correctional Center, she said.
Myers said deputies responded to the call at about 9:30 a.m.
