McNeese ready for May 19 graduation

McNeese State University’s spring commencement ceremony will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 19, at Burton Coliseum.

This spring 823 degrees will be awarded to 801 candidates, including 44 associate degrees, 632 bachelor’s degrees and 147 master’s degrees.

University President Philip C. Williams will address the spring class of 2012 and introduce the Golden Scholars from the class of 1962.

Jeanne Daboval, provost and vice president for academic and student affairs, will serve as master of ceremonies. The McNeese Wind Symphony, directed by Jay Jacobs, will perform the processional, national anthem and recessional. Stephanie Tarver, dean of enrollment management, will introduce honor graduates and L. Ken Moss Jr., president of the McNeese Alumni Association, will address the students.

MiKayla Bourque, graduating music education senior from Port Neches, Texas, will lead the graduates and audience in the alma mater.
