LEESVILLE — A 70-year-old Leesville man has been accused of inappropriate sexual contact with a juvenile, local authorities said.
Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested James “Jim” Limbaugh on July 1. He has been charged with one count of indecent behavior with a juvenile and one count of sexual battery.
Deputies said they received a complaint on June 28 accusing Limbaugh of driving a 14-year-old male to a secluded location where Limbaugh then showed him pornographic material and touched the teen inappropriately.
The teen was able to describe specific inappropriate sexual behavior by Limbaugh, deputies said.
Deputies said the teen became fearful, got out of the vehicle and began walking away. He told deputies he was ultimately talked into getting back in the vehicle by Limbaugh and was driven home. The teen said Limbaugh advised him during the drive back home that he should refrain from telling anyone about the incident.
Detectives that said during an interview with Limbaugh, he admitted to inappropriate sexual behavior with the juvenile.
Limbaugh’s bond has been set at $50,000.
The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
