JENNINGS — The Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office is continuing to follow up on leads in connection with the recent theft of diesel fuel from area rice fields.

Chief Criminal Deputy Robert Broussard said Monday detectives have received more than a dozen tips from confidential informants and the tip line since surveillance photos of a suspect were released last week.

“The detectives’ phones are ringing off the hook,” Broussard said.
