JENNINGS — Jefferson Davis Parish sheriff’s deputies have arrested four Lake Charles men accused of stealing more than 80 pounds of live crawfish from a field in Roanoke.

Elliot Clark III, 31, Isaiah Clark, 27, Randall Clark, no age available, and Donald Watson Jr., 24, were arrested Thursday on theft of crawfish charges, sheriff’s spokesman Christopher Ivey said.

They were booked into the parish jail, with bond set at $10,000 each.

Deputies found the four men parked in a vehicle with no lights on on Compton Road in Roanoke. A plastic tub with about 85 pounds of live crawfish was recovered from the location.

The Sheriff’s Office had recently received numerous complaints of crawfish thefts from farmers and had beefed up patrols to look for people trespassing on fields, Ivey said.
