A 61-year-old Lake Charles man has been charged with fourth-offense DWI and driving while under suspension for DWI, authorities said.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said George Joseph, 2001 6th St., was arrested Saturday night.

Myers said Joseph was pulled over by Cpl. Dennis Pippin for a traffic violation while he was driving in the area of North Shattuck and Opelousas streets.

Joseph was convicted of third-offense DWI in Calcasieu Parish in November 2011, Myers said.

Judge Ron Ware set Joseph’s bond at $16,000.
