A 21-year-old Lake Charles man has been charged with attempted forcible rape, officials said.
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said Hunter J. Leger, 634 Arsene Lebleu Road, entered an 19-year-old woman’s room while she was sleeping and attempted to rape her.
The woman told police that her roommate allowed Leger to sleep on their couch after a night of drinking, Myers said.
Leger entered the woman’s room during the early morning hours, Myers said.
Leger attempted to hold the woman down but she was able to break free before Leger pulled her back onto the bed, Myers said.
She eventually got away from Leger, although she suffered numerous bruises and marks on her neck, Myers said.
Judge Michael Canaday set Leger’s bond at $150,000.
