A 58-year-old Lake Charles man with a lengthy criminal history has been charged with attempted second-degree murder, city police said.
Deputy Chief Mark Kraus said Gary Jonathon Thibodeaux, 1701 Sunset Drive, was arrested Wednesday.
"We responded to a call at 5:58 p.m. in reference to a shooting at Thibodeaux's home," Kraus said in a news release. "Upon arrival, the victim was located at a neighbor’s residence with an apparent gunshot wound. Thibodeaux was identified as the shooter and arrested without incident.
"The victim was treated and released from a local hospital. Thibodeaux has a lengthy criminal history, including an arrest for first-degree murder."
