Lafayette woman booked with attempted murder

LAFAYETTE (AP) — Police say a 37-year-old Lafayette woman faces a charge of attempted second-degree murder for allegedly slitting a man’s throat.
The Advertisers reported officers were dispatched to a home shortly before 11:30 a.m. Monday and found Chandra Hamilton standing outside.
According to the arrest affidavit, Hamilton told officers that “the victim’s throat was cut and she did it.”
Police say the man was found inside with an approximate 3 inch cut to his throat.
Hamilton is being held on $150,000 bond.
It was unclear whether she had an attorney.
