LAFAYETTE (AP) — A Lafayette Parish grand jury has indicted two women on child sex trafficking charges stemming from separate police investigations in June and July that led to their arrests.

The Advocate reported (http://bit.ly/18FlA3s) Lorrie A. Anderson, 49, of Lafayette, was indicted Thursday on two counts of child sex trafficking, and Katherine Sue Vidrine, 27, of Carencro, was charged with one count of child sex trafficking.

Anderson also was charged with two counts of aggravated rape involving a boy and a girl, both under 18, and two counts of aggravated incest against the same two juveniles.

The indictment says the boy was 9 when the alleged crimes started in 2009, and the girl was 7. The court document states the abuse took place from Jan. 1, 2009, through Dec. 31, 2011.

Anderson allegedly recruited, housed, fed and drove the boy and girl to sessions with clients, according to the indictment.

Anderson was arrested July 25 at her home following an investigation by state police, who started looking into Anderson after they received a tip that she was using kids related to her to make money.

“During their investigation, detectives learned that on more than one occasion Anderson brought at least one child to a location in Lafayette Parish for the purpose of financial gain through child sexual acts,” Trooper Stephen Hammons said then.

Vidrine was arrested June 25 by state police, who were looking into a tip that she was driving a child around the parish for sex appointments with clients, officials said.
