Lacassine native, husband killed in Texas

STOCKDALE, Texas — Texas Rangers are investigating the shooting deaths of a husband and wife and the wounding of his son.

The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office says the shootings happened early Thursday, Sept. 20, at a home in Stockdale. The bodies of 54-year-old Steven Lambeck and 50-year-old Ramona Lambeck, a native of Lacassine, were discovered after the son called 911.

Lambeck graduated from Lacassine High School in 1980 and earned a degree from McNeese State University in accounting in 1984.

Officials say 29-year-old Tyson Lambeck suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder and was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center.

Sheriff Joe Tackitt Jr. has said there were no signs of forced entry at the house and that the two bodies were found in bed.

Stockdale is 30 miles southeast of San Antonio.
