LaFuria mock trial reset for Nov. 7

The mock trial of Dr. Peter LaFuria scheduled for Monday has been refixed, prosecutors said.
The mock trial, which is to be held to determine whether a change of venue is necessary, was reset for Nov. 7 because LaFuria’s defense attorney, Glen Vamvoras, has a trial beginning Monday, prosecutor Cynthia Killingsworth said.
She said victims did not need to show up to court Monday.
LaFuria, a former Lake Charles gynecologist, is charged with taking photographs of his patients’ genitals without their knowledge.
