JENNINGS — An Jennings man has been accused of taking two sacks of live crawfish from his employer.

Deputies responded to the call after the owner located the two sacks of live crawfish in Chaisson’s truck, Ivey said.

Chaisson was booked into the Jefferson Davis Parish Jail on charges of theft of crawfish.

This is the fifth theft of crawfish arrest reported by the sheriff’s office this month.

Earlier in March, four Lake Charles men were arrested for stealing more than 80 pounds of live crawfish from a field in Roanoke. Last week, a Jennings man was arrested after a crawfish farmer caught him in his crawfish field on U.S. 90, just west of Jennings.””
