Westlake beats DeRidder, LaGrange falls to Notre Dame

The high school football season began Thursday night with two games involving Southwest Louisiana teams.

Westlake beat DeRidder 7-0 while LaGrange lost 28-14 to Notre Dame.

As we will all season long, the American Press sent reporters and photographers to the games involving area teams.
