SULPHUR — A W.W. Lewis Middle School student has been arrested for bringing a handgun on campus, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office said.
Detectives said they received reports Wednesday after school that a 14-year-old male student had brought a gun to school and was showing it off to other students. A student reported the information to the assistant principal.
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office was notified Thursday morning around 7:30 a.m. and was at the school to search the student when he arrived on school campus.  An unloaded handgun was located in the waistband of the student.
He was arrested and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center.  He is being charged with possession of a dangerous weapon on school grounds.
CPSO Detective Louis Guy is the lead investigator on this case.

Title: Not totally kids fault

The Dad is an idiot so the kid doesnt stand a chance in the game of life! …16"You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? 17"So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. 18"A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit.… Remove the kid and give him a good home because he is a good kid, the parent and grandparents suck! Failed this boy horribly!!!!
