The Lake Charles Messiah Chorus will have its first rehearsal for the performance of George Frideric Handel’s “Messiah” 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, in Room 224 of the McNeese State University Fine Arts Building.
The 72nd performance is set for 3 p.m. Dec. 2 in the university’s Bulber Auditorium. The performance was temporarily suspended last year because of a lack of attendance and financial difficulties.
Constance Darbonne said she is one of at least 90 people who will be singing this year. Patricia Bulber, who has played with the chorus since 1954, is organizing the event.
Another rehearsal will be 6:30-8 p.m. Nov. 26 in Bulber Auditorium. The dress rehearsal is scheduled for Dec. 1.
For more information, call Bulber at 477-0662, Poddy Champeaux at 439-1188 or Barbara Belew at 477-4545.
