The Sulphur Fire Department was called to an eight-unit apartment complex fire Sunday at 819 Frederick St.

Three people, including one infant, were taken to the hospital and treated for minor to moderate injuries. They were released Sunday night.

The fire occurred at about 4 p.m. and was extinguished within an hour.

Neighbors said two pets died.

“We rolled up with heavy smoke and flames showing,” District Chief Matt Frey said Sunday.

The fire is under investigation.
