Field set for November 6 races

Races were set Friday for the Nov. 6 elections in Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, Jefferson Davis and Vernon parishes.
Up for grabs are seats for two congressional districts and municipal elections in Oakdale, Oberlin, Merryville, Welsh, Fenton, Anacoco and Simpson.
Special elections are also slated for a school board seat in Allen Parish and a constable in Cameron Parish.
Here are parish-by-parish lists of the races. Incumbents are designated with (I).
Allen Parish
• U.S representative, 4th Congressional District: John Fleming (I) and Randall Lord.
• School Board member District 3: Kenneth W. “Hammer” Miller, Phyllis Johnson, Bobby Odom and Steven Sumbler.
• Oakdale mayor: John Matte; Andrew Hayes (I) and Gene Paul.
• Oakdale Council, District 2: Fredrick “Pos” Douglas and Treva Maricle.
• Oakdale Council, District 3: Ervin Willis Sr. and Robert Loman (I)
• Oberlin alderman, District 3: Linda “Whip” Boulden and Benny R. Manuel.
• Oberlin alderman at large: Wayne Courville and Ricky D. Mahaffey.
Beauregard Parish
• U.S representative, 4th Congressional District: John Fleming (I) and Randall Lord.
• Merryville police chief: Joey L. Hood and Craig Lanier.
Calcasieu
• U.S representative, 3rd Congressional District: Ron Richard, Bryan Barrilleaux, Charles W. Boustany Jr., Jeff Landry and Jim Stark.
Cameron
• U.S representative, 3rd Congressional District: Ron Richard, Barry Barrilleaux, Charles W. Boustany Jr., Jeff Landry and Jim Stark.
• Constable Justice of the Peace Ward 4: Eric LeBoeuf and John “Buck” Stephenson.
Jeff Davis Parish
• U.S representative, 3rd Congressional District: Ron Richard, Bryan Barilleaux, Charles W. Boustany Jr., Jeff Landry and Jim Stark.
• Welsh mayor: Carolyn Louviere (I) and Colby Perry.
• Welsh alderman (5 to be elected): M.J. Doucet, Allen Ardoin (I), Marcus S. Prudhomme, Gloria Viney (I), Charles Drake (I), Hugh Fruge, Becky Hudson (I) and Robert “Bob” Owens.
• Welsh police chief: Marcus Crochet, W. Ray” Abshire and Tommy Chaisson (I).
• Fenton alderman (3 to be elected): Clifford Brian Leday, “Curtis Red” Dickens, LaToya Johnson, Eddie Alfred Sr. (I) and Mary Jones (I).
Vernon
• U.S representative, 4th Congressional District: John Fleming (I) and Randall Lord.
• Anacoco mayor: Archie Martin and Keith Lewing.
