Vinton man facing third set of aggravated incest charges

A 40-year-old Vinton man has been arrested for the third time in less than a month and now faces 17 counts of aggravated incest and two counts of aggravated rape, authorities said.
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said Christopher S. Benoit, 2212 Hillary Drive, was arrested Tuesday morning, Jan. 24 and Jan. 17.
Benoit has been accused of sexually abusing female family members on numerous occasions from 1989 to 2009. Myers said the victims were 6, 8 and 9 years old when the alleged assaults began.
Benoit’s bond has been set at $4,700,000 for all the charges.
Detective Elizabeth Zaunbrecher is the lead investigator.
