A grand jury in 14th Judicial District Court indicted three people Thursday on charges of conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

Xavier Levi Johnwell, 19, Edmond Jevante Thorne, 19, Kimberly Ann Zeno, 22, were also indicted on charges of conspiracy to possess drugs. Johnwell and Thorne were indicted on an additional charge of illegal possession of a weapon.

The three were arrested in late December after authorities said Johnwell dialed a wrong number — which turned out to be that of a Calcasieu Sheriff’s Office detective — looking for his “weed man.”

Detectives set up a meeting and arrested the three.

Johnwell was carrying a Ruger LCR .380 in his waistband, and a .38-caliber revolver was found in the rear seat of the car within reach of Thorne.

All three remain jailed in the Calcasieu Correctional Center.
