MONROE (AP) — A 49-year-old Monroe woman has been arrested after allegedly battering a victim with a piece of cinder block.
The News-Star reports (http://tnsne.ws/1epiGlA) Pamela D. Tugler was booked at Ouachita Correctional Center Tuesday night on charges of aggravated battery and disturbing the peace.
An affidavit said Tugler struck the victim multiple times in the head and face with 3-pound piece of cinder block, causing noticeable injuries.
Police said Tugler showed several physical symptoms of intoxication, including a strong odor of alcohol on her breath, slurred speech and poor balance.
Tugler denied the allegations, but police said the cinder block was seen in plain sight on her living room floor.
It was unclear whether Tugler has an attorney.
