A Lake Charles man and woman pleaded not guilty in state district court Monday to accusations that they raped a 10-year-old girl.
Ryan Crenna Garcia, 48, and Olivia Odetta Obrien, 19, both of 2808 Church Street, were arrested in August and charged with aggravated rape.
A trial date was set for February 10.
Garcia was also charged with failure to register as a sex offender. In 2003, Garcia was convicted of molestation of a juvenile in Florida.
Both are being held at Calcasieu Correctional Center, Garcia on $600,000 bond and Obrien on $260,000 bond.
Also Monday, Gerald Brent DeBarge was arraigned on a stalking charge.
DeBarge, 48, pleaded not guilty in state district court to stalking. A trial date was set for Jan. 6.
DeBarge, who has faced stalking charges in the past and has been in jail at Calcasieu Correctional Center for more than a year, received the latest charge for allegedly sending a letter to a person whom he had been ordered not to contact, authorities said.
DeBarge, known for his letter writing, had had his letter-writing privileges revoked and had only recently had them reinstated when the letter was sent, authorities said.
In January, DeBarge was found guilty of injuring a police dog during an August 2012 arrest on a stalking charge. He represented himself during his trial.
DeBarge is being held on $100,000 bond — $50,000 on the staking charge and $25,000 each on two counts of violations of protective orders.
