A 29-year-old Jennings man pleaded guilty in federal court to receiving child pornography, said U.S. Attorney Stephanie A. Finley.

Seth Ryan Bivens entered his plea before U.S. District Judge Patricia Minaldi.

He faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, a $250,000 fine and five years of supervised release.

Sentencing is set for Feb. 6, 2014.

A search of Bivens’ computer and other electronic devices by investigators found 294 movies and 28 images of child pornography.
