Farmers’ Market ends with Coushatta Fun Fest Saturday

ELTON — The Coushatta Farmers’ Market will wrap up its spring season Saturday with the Coushatta Farmers’ Market Fun Fest, featuring family activities, games, prizes and more in Koasati Plaza at the corner of U.S. 190 and Pine Street.

The Fun Fest will feature water slides, a rock wall, a petting zoo, clowns and a live radio broadcast from 101.1 KBON FM radio. There will also be live music from the Bernie Alan Band and prize drawings.

“This has been an outstanding Farmers’ Market season and we are closing it out in an exciting way,”  Coushatta Tribe council member David Sickey said “We’re inviting everyone in the area to come out, enjoy some great music, fun and games with their families and take home some delicious local produce and homemade food items.”

The vendor fee for the Coushatta Farmer’s Market is $10 and vendors must register with Desireé Duhon at 337-246-3199 or imperialcalcasieu@yahoo.com.

Registration can also be completed at www.imperialcalcasieurcd.org.

All products must be produced or grown by the vendor. No commercial or imported products are allowed.

There will be no Farmers’ Market in July and August. The market will return Oct. 5 for the fall season.””
