DeQuincy man faces stalking-related charges

ALEXANDRIA (AP) — A 42-year-old DeQuincy man is facing dozens of stalking-related charges after officials allege he followed the Glenmora-area victim throughout Rapides Parish.

Rapides Parish sheriff’s deputies told The Town Talk the complaint against Daniel Aaron Christensen was made on May 3, alleging that Christensen had followed the victim around the parish and had rented multiple vehicles to do so.

Deputies say Christensen was arrested Friday. He was booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center, charged with four counts of felony stalking, 25 counts of cyberstalking, 25 counts of harassing telephone language, one count of reckless operation and one count of obstructing a public passage.

Christensen was released on Sunday after posting a $59,000 bond.

It was unclear whether Christensen has an attorney.””
