Dodge Out For Northwestern Game

McNeese State head coach Matt Viator has ruled out quarterback Riley Dodge for Saturday’s game at Northwestern State because of an injury suffered last Saturday against Southeastern Louisiana. Viator did not elaborate on the nature of injury.

Dodge took some hard hits in the game, particularly when he was bodyslammed to the turf by Southeastern Louisiana defensive lineman Devin Boutwell, who picked up a personal foul on the play.

Dodge shared snaps with starter Cody Stroud in McNeese’s first three games. True freshman Tyler Bolfing now becomes the Cowboys’ No. 2 quarterback for the game against the Demons.
