DWI checkpoint leads to four arrests

Four people from the Lake Area were arrested Friday night during a DWI checkpoint, authorities said.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said the Sheriff’s Office and state police conducted the checkpoint at the 200 block of Parish Road in Moss Bluff.

Myers said 143 vehicles were checked, six field sobriety tests were administered and nine tickets were written.

Those arrested and charged with DWI were: 57-year-old Margaret S. Atwell of Moss Bluff, 34-year-old Jason P. Guillory of Lake Charles, 18-year-old Lindsay Duhon of Moss Bluff and 43-year-old Donna A. Sponseller of Moss Bluff.
