A Sulphur man who pleaded guilty in March to weapons charges was sentenced in federal court Thursday to 15 years in prison and five years’ supervised release.

Todd Allen Booth, 33, was convicted of simple burglary in Calcasieu in 2003 and of burglary in Texas in 2001, so he can’t legally possess firearms, said U.S. Attorney Stephanie Finley.

She said authorities found three shotguns, two rifles, three handguns and ammunition when they searched Booth’s home on July 10, 2012.
