BROUSSARD — The McNeese State women’s golf team placed third at the 2013 LeTriomphe Collegiate Invitational on Tuesday.
The Cowgirls posted a three-round 950, 20 strokes behind tourney champion Lamar. Xavier (Ohio) was second at 943.
McNeese’s top finisher was McKayla Anderson, who tied for 13th place with a 238.
Also for McNeese, Lina Lagergren tied for 20th at 239, Kelsey Haynie and Elin Andersson tied for 15th at 240, Sydney Martien tied for 33rd place at 244, Dolores Brown finished 23rd at 242, Kendall Tudor tied for 72nd at 265 and Alexandra Graf placed 83rd with a 280.
Lamar had three of the top four finishers with Ghni Ngo winning the individual title at 226.
Houston Baptist placed fourth with a 957 and was followed by Toledo, Florida Gulf Coast and Sam Houston State at 967, Central Arkansas (970), South Alabama (975), Stephen F. Austin (992), McLennan Community College (995), Chicago State (1,009), USC Upstate (1,009), Shorter University (1,024), Texas Pan American (1,029) and Centenary (1,053.)
