A grand jury in state district court indicted a DeQuincy man Thursday on a 2012 murder charge.
The grand jury in 14th Judicial District Court returned a true bill of second-degree murder against Leo Paul Thibodeaux, 53, 4190 Edgerly-DeQuincy Highway. He is accused of killing his live-in girlfriend in March 2012.
Authorities said Thibodeaux originally reported the death of Toni Marie Frabbiele, 37, as a suicide.
Thibodeaux wasn’t arrested until August. Calcasieu Sheriff Tony Mancuso said detectives used Coroner Terry Welke’s autopsy report and blood-splatter analysis to classify Frabbiele’s death as a homicide. Frabbiele was shot in the head twice, Welke said.
Thibodeaux was reportedly arrested on a domestic violence charge involving Frabbiele in February 2012.
He is being held in the Calcasieu Correctional Center on $1 million bond.
The grand jury returned a true bill on nine counts of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile against a Lake Charles woman.
Renee Elizabeth Broussard, 42, 1636 E. Tank Farm Road, reportedly had sex several times with a 16-year-old boy whom she met online.
When she was arrested in March, she was charged with 11 counts of carnal knowledge.
The alleged incidents happened between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31, 2012, according to the indictment.
Broussard is free on $110,000 bond, set by Judge Clayton Davis.
A Fort Polk man faces up to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty in federal court to sexually abusing a minor, said U.S. Attorney Stephanie Finley.
Eric Britton, 19, admitted that on July 20, 2012, he had sex with a 13-year-old girl in an unoccupied residence on Fort Polk, Finley said.
He faces up to a $250,000 fine and a lifetime of supervised release. He will be required to register as a sex offender. Sentencing has been set for Jan. 9.

Look at all of this white crime. It's at epidemic levels but the white community isn't denouncing it.
