Cancer society hosts cocktail benefit

The American Cancer Society is hosting Candles and Cocktails — an event that celebrates a world with less cancer and more birthdays — on Saturday, Aug. 11, at the Isle of Capri Casino Hotel.
The social event will include dining, auctions and live entertainment by Bottoms Up. It is sponsored by the Isle of Capri Casino Hotel, Hertz Investments, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana and First Federal Bank of Louisiana. Tickets cost $100 per person.
