A Vinton school bus driver who admitted having sex with a teenage boy was arrested Tuesday, authorities said.

Jessica A. Hudson, 38, 1234 Bigwoods Starks Road, was charged with 20 counts of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile, said Kim Myers, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman.

In a separate case, Hudson completed a pretrial diversion program in February to avoid a misdemeanor charge of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, a District Attorney’s Office spokesman said.

The Sheriff’s Office began investigating on Tuesday, after receiving an anonymous tip, Myers said. Hudson knew the boy outside of a school setting, she said.

“The investigation revealed Hudson started having sexual intercourse with the boy in January when he was 14 and again during the summer months at least a couple of times a week when the boy was 15,” Myers said.

An anonymous caller to the Sheriff’s Office said she had urged Hudson to end the relationship, according to the initial complaint.

Hudson is being held in the Calcasieu Correctional Center on $500,000 bond set by Judge Kent Savoie. She was placed on leave on Tuesday, when the Calcasieu Parish School Board learned of her arrest, district spokeswoman Kirby Smith said.

“CPSB is cooperating fully with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Department’s investigation,” Smith said in a statement.

Detective William Wilcox is the lead investigator.

Hudson was accused of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile in June 2013, said district attorney’s spokeswoman Holly Carter. Hudson successfully completed a pretrial diversion program in February, and the case was closed.(MGNonline)
