Barbe scored the first 10 points of the fourth quarter to pull away from New Iberia in a 52-42 District 3-5A win Friday.

The Bucs (11-5, 2-1) led 34-33 after three quarters but took control in the final frame, getting a pair of 3-pointers from Savon Price and another from Devin Anderson during the decisive run.

“We mixed it up and went zone and were able to get a few stops there,” Bucs head coach Carl Klein said of the fourth-quarter run. “We spent some time on time and score and executing in the fourth quarter in practice and it paid off.
