NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Neil Young & Crazy Horse will join Green Day as headliners of the 2012 Voodoo Fest on Halloween weekend in New Orleans.
The Times-Picayune reported Tuesday that Green Day's only announced North American date this year will come at the festival amid a rollout of the band's forthcoming album trilogy, the first of which will be released Sept. 25.
Young last performed in New Orleans at the 2009 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. He has not toured with Crazy Horse since 2004.
Other talent announced for the event, set for Oct. 26-28, include electronic dance music star Skrillex, Justice, Tomahawk, Say Anything, funk bassist Bootsy Collins, blues-rock guitarist Gary Clark Jr. and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band.
