New Orleans cab driver shoots would-be robber

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Police say a New Orleans cab driver shot a would-be robber in the face, leaving him in critical condition.
Officer Frank Robertson says the unidentified suspect approached the cab driver just after 10 p.m. Thursday and tried to rob him.
Robertson said he didn't know whether the alleged robber had a weapon.
