Deer hunter cited for trespassing in Mandeville

MANDEVILLE (AP) — Police say a 48-year-old man was cited for trespassing in an upscale Mandeville subdivision, where he is alleged to have been deer hunting.

On Monday morning, police say they identified Guy Babin, one week after someone in the neighborhood called to complain about the hunter.

After being identified by an "anonymous report," police spokesman Gerald Sticker told The Times-Picayun Babin was issued a citation for misdemeanor trespassing and was released.

Police say Babin was had the necessary hunting permits.
