RAYVILLE (AP) — A joint investigation by state police and Richland Parish deputies resulted in the arrest of a Rayville doctor on drug charges.
The News-Star reported authorities arrested 60-year-old Dr. Dan LaFleur of Delhi Wednesday on five counts of possession of Schedule III controlled dangerous substances, two counts of possession of schedule IV controlled dangerous substances and resisting a police officer.
Trooper Albert Paxton said the arrest was made while the investigators were executing a search warrant in a prescription fraud investigation.
LeFleur was booked into the Richland Parish Detention Center.
It was unclear whether LaFleur has an attorney.
