City police are looking for a woman who is accused of stealing $200 from a customer at the Chuck E. Cheese restaurant in Lake Charles.

Deputy Chief Mark Kraus said the victim was at the restaurant with her grandson on May 24.

“At approximately 1 p.m., the victim approached another patron whom she mistakenly believed was an employee and asked her for assistance in getting $80 from a nearby ATM,” Kraus said in a news release. “The victim provided the woman with her bank card and access number.

“The woman left with the card and returned shortly thereafter with the $80. The victim later learned that the suspect had removed an additional $200 from her account without permission.”

Kraus said the suspect has been described as a black female, approximately 30-40 years old. She was wearing a blue sleeveless shirt.

Kraus said that if anyone can identify the woman in the video should contact Detective Dustin Gaudet at 491-1456, ext. 1223.
